Collection: Hilkka-Liisa Ahola

Born in Helsinki, after working as a trainee at ARABIA in 1943, he officially joined the company in 1947 and worked on many HLA designs featuring floral patterns and female figures. Her works are one-of-a-kind, especially dark brown works of blue, brown, and yellow, and are characterized by a unique sense of color. Her name spread because of the big hit "Kukka (flower) series" with hand-painted vases. However, in 1974, Arabia fell into financial crisis and she left the company. Since then, I have been working as a freelance batik artist.
