フランス語で「恋人」 職人の手仕事が生む群青の濃淡
This Monami teapot is a masterpiece by Marianne Westman, who was the main designer of the long-established Swedish tableware manufacturer Rorstrand. Mon Amie means "lover" in French.
Mugs and plates with the same pattern are now on sale, but the original teapot has not been resold and is therefore rare. 1951-1973 stamped on backstamp Since there is no VDN mark, it must have been manufactured between 1974 and 1987, when production in Sweden ended. This is one of Vintage Monami's classic items.
The major difference between Monami's reprint and the original is the color of the base. The reprint version has a pure white background, but the original has an off-white and subdued color tone. In addition, the blue in the reprint is uniform and bright, but the original is hand-painted, so each piece has a different shade of blue, similar to ultramarine blue. The reprint version is a mass-produced product that is too white and too blue, but the vintage version is rich in expression and allows you to feel the spirit of the craftsman.
