スウェーデンの老舗名窯が紡いだ 北欧ヴィンテージの逸品

This soup plate is from the Anemone series by the renowned Swedish pottery manufacturer Rörstrand. It's a charming dish decorated with an anemone floral pattern. The Anemone series was produced for a very short period, from 1965 to 1968.

The 1960s was a time of pop design, and considering the traditional backdrop of the era when traditional wreath patterns were the norm, Anemone's simplicity made it seem unorthodox. After production was discontinued, it gradually gained popularity, but to this day, Anemone has never been resold. Therefore, despite being a popular series, it can only be found on the vintage market.

Anemone has a weak brown glaze, which means paint loss is likely to occur and cutlery marks are easily visible. This, combined with the short production period, makes it a rare product, and those in good condition are gradually becoming scarce.

■Details Manufacturer: Rorstrand Designer: Marianne Westman?
Country of Origin: Sweden Year: 1965-1968 Condition: ★★★☆☆ (3.5: Average)
There are no cracks or chips, but cutlery marks can be seen in the center of the plate and around the edge when held up to the light. There are also scratches near the base of the back. This is in relatively good condition for an Anemone item, but please be aware of the cutlery marks. We have multiple items in stock. All items in stock are in the same condition as shown in the photos. If you would like to confirm the individual condition, please contact us via chat or email.

Marianne Westman

Marianne Westman ( Marianne Westman, 1928-2017 )

Born in the Dalarna region of central Sweden, known for Dalarna horses. In 1950, at the age of 22, he joined Rorstrand as a designer and remained there for 21 years until 1971. As the company's signboard designer, he has created numerous works and brought the masterpiece Mon Amie series to the world. Monami is a masterpiece of Scandinavian design from the mid-20th century, known as "mid-century," and is still loved around the world, with reprints still being produced . Westman's works are characterized by many designs that are conscious of plants and free-spirited patterns that appear to be drawn freehand.
