This is a dinner plate from the Anemone series by the renowned Swedish pottery manufacturer Rörstrand. It's a charming piece featuring an anemone floral pattern. The Anemone series was produced for a relatively short period, from 1965 to 1968. The 1960s were a time when designs were considered pop, and traditional wreath patterns dominated. Given the era's traditional aesthetic, the Anemone series' simplicity made it seem unorthodox. While it gradually gained popularity after production ceased, it has not been reissued to this day. As a result, despite its popularity, it is only available on the vintage market.
Anemone has a weak brown glaze, which means paint loss is likely to occur and cutlery marks are easily visible. This, combined with the short production period, makes it a rare product, and those in good condition are gradually becoming scarce.
■Details Manufacturer: Rorstrand Designer: Marianne Westman?
Country of origin: Sweden Year: 1965-1968 Condition: ★★★☆☆ (3: Cutlery marks present)
When held up to the light, the plate's surface and edges show minor storage scratches and cutlery marks. While it is more suited to everyday use, the original luster has been tarnished due to the fragility of the anemone glaze. We have multiple items in stock. All items are in the same condition as shown in the photos. Considering their condition, we are offering them at a great price.
