北欧の新緑をテーブルに リンドベリの代表作
A unique Berså plate from Gustavsberg, a long-established Swedish tableware manufacturer. This is a vintage item. The vintage Versa has a leaf pattern all over, and the reprinted version follows the same pattern, but this plate has a rather unusual design with leaf patterns arranged in circles only around the perimeter. There are almost no traces of the pillars when firing in the kiln, and it is manufactured at a high level of technology.
The back stamp on the back is engraved with the VDN quality assurance mark. The VDN mark indicates that the product has passed the durability test by the consumer association Varudeklarationsnämnden . It is equivalent to the JIS mark in Japan, and was stamped in Sweden between 1951 and 1973 . The Versa series was released in 1961, but judging from the workmanship and color gloss, I think this plate was manufactured in small quantities in the early 1970s.
There is also a reproduction version of Versaplate, but the big difference is the lush green of the leaf stalk. The reprinted version has a lighter green color and luster than the vintage version. The series name Bertha means "arbor" in Swedish. It is a space set up to take a rest in a corner of a park. In Scandinavia, where there are many winter days, the design allows you to feel the fresh greenery.
