スウェーデンの国民的作家が生んだ 手のひらに宿る北欧の物語
This is a ceramic statue from the Jura series designed by Lisa Larson for Gustavsberg in 1971. The series name Jura refers to the Jurassic period, which was an era from 201 million years ago to 145 million years ago. It is a ceramic statue created in the image of animals on the earth at that time. The series featured hippos, buffalo, two-humped camels, rhinos, lizards, and turtles. Both are small enough to fit in the palm of your hand.
This is a turtle ornament. The back side has a complicated shell pattern, and the sagging eyes are cute and have a slightly goofy look.
