北欧の新緑をテーブルに リンドベリの代表作
This is a classic Bersa plate from Gustavsberg, a long-established Swedish tableware manufacturer. Stig Lindberg created this leaf-patterned design in 1961. This is a vintage item. Bersa (or "bersjö") means gazebo, a space set aside for resting in a corner of a park. This warm design evokes the feeling of fresh greenery in Scandinavia, where winter days are common.
There are also reproductions of the Versa Plate, but the main difference is the lush green of the leaf pattern. The reproduction has a lighter green hue than the vintage version. Another characteristic of the vintage version is the slightly raised edge of the plate. The reproduction has a bowl-like shape that gradually becomes rounder from the center to the edge.
