★★★★☆ (4.5: Very good condition) There is some peeling of the glaze on the blue part of the surface. A characteristic of Baghdad products is that the glaze on the corners is thin and easily peels off, something that can often be seen on the No. 1 mosque object here. This is caused by the manufacturing process. |

This is a series of figurines called Baghdad produced by the art department of Gustavsberg, Sweden's leading pottery manufacturer. Designer Bertil Wallin is famous as the person responsible for shaping the glass works at Costa Boda. A total of seven types of objects were produced in the Baghdad series. This is a design of the first Islamic mosque built. Although Valeen was a young man in his 20s at the time of creation, he was able to accurately express the characteristics of the building in an extremely abstract manner, and it is an excellent vintage work that shows a glimpse of his talent.
