A turquoise flat plate made in a kiln called Deco in the port town of Helsingborg in the southwest of Sweden. The series name Parlan means "pearl" in Swedish, and the dented pattern drawn on the rim expresses pearls like a necklace.
Deco is a workshop that closed in 2008, but produced many excellent tableware in the 1970s at its peak. This platter is a 25cm size dinner plate and is a dead stock product in good condition. The refreshing blue of the glaze on the plate creates an atmosphere unique to a seaside town.
