壁を飾る北欧の物語 ARABIAの記念プレート
A decorative plate designed in the 1960s by Birger Kaipiainen, a legendary Finnish designer for ARABIA. Kaipiainen is known for his Paratiissi design with a viola motif, and this is a wall plate with a viola design.
"Viola" and "Violetta" are both the names of plants in the Violet family, but they are different species. "Viola" is a perennial plant belonging to the genus Viola, characterized by spreading petals and a yellow spot in the center. On the other hand, "Violetta" belongs to the Hibiscus genus and is a kind of hibiscus of the Tosamisuaceae family. The flowers are purple or pink with a yellow spot in the center. Cultivated mainly for ornamental purposes, the language of flowers is "proof of happiness" and "hope". In other words, viola and violetta are different types of plants.
The viola was produced in three sizes. This is the smallest size. The center of the plate is a deep ultramarine blue, and the color changes to a brighter blue as it is pulled toward the periphery. There is a wire for wall hanging on the back and it can be used as a plate for wall hanging.
