Valencia is the name of a port city in southeastern Spain, and the deep cobalt blue coloration expresses the dull sea and strong sunlight of the Mediterranean Sea. Designer Ura Procoppe designed Valencia in 1961, making it the series with the most antique fans among Arabian products. Valencia was manufactured for over 40 years until 2002.

There are several black spots inside the creamer. Also, the bottom of the sugar bowl is not fully glazed, and there is a thin brown undercoat. Also, there is a very thin thread on the side of the sugar bowl, but both are unused dead stock items in extremely good condition.

About Ulla Procoppe

Ulla Procoppe ( Ulla Procope , 1921-1968)
Born in Helsinki. After graduating from the Faculty of Art and Design at Aalto University in Helsinki in 1948, he joined Arabia. After that, I was in charge of design in the production department for 20 years, Created the Ruska series in 1960 and the Valencia series in 1961. Rusca is the flagship product with the longest running and highest sales volume among Arabian products. The Valencia series is the last hand-painted product from Arabia. After retiring from active duty due to cancer, Procope moved to the Canary Islands in Spain. He died there at the age of 47.
