フィンランドの名窯が生んだ 食卓を彩る北欧ヴィンテージ
This is an original work of the masterpiece Sunnuntai, released in 1971 by Finland's leading pottery manufacturer ARABIA. There are many reprints available now, but this is a vintage plate manufactured half a century ago.
The series name Sunnuntai is the Finnish word for "Sunday", and the design is inspired by a bright spring afternoon. It was manufactured using Kaipiainen's masterpiece Paratissi oval plate mold for three years from 1971, and production was subsequently discontinued. A reprint model will be produced in 2021 to commemorate the 50th anniversary, and it is once again in the spotlight.
The reprint version is made in Thailand, The difference with vintage is that it is manufactured in Finland. Also, the color of the yellow paint on the surface is lighter on the reprint version, but it is darker on the vintage version, and the color is a perfect representation of the sunlight. The symbol 1-71 on the back indicates the year of manufacture, indicating that it was manufactured in January 1971.
