わずか2年で消えた幻のアヤメ フィンランド製オリジナルの一枚

This is the legendary Crocus masterpiece from ARABIA, a leading Finnish tableware manufacturer. Crocus is a type of iris flower. Crocus plates come in three varieties: black and white, colored, and gray-rimmed. This is the black and white version. Crocus was a series that was only produced for two years, from 1978 to 1979. In recent years, reproductions of mugs, bowls, and 17cm plates have been produced.

However, the reproductions are made in Thailand and have a softer shape, and the canisters, cups and saucers, and teapots found in the original Crocus are not reproduced. These highly sought-after items are rare in the vintage market and command high prices. This 17cm plate is a vintage version with a flared rim. The reproduction is a deeper plate with a curved rim. It feels light when held flat, and its vintage design is characterized by its resemblance to the traditional Nordic cake plate shape.
