It is a cutting board of the series called Delicates that Gustavsberg sold for a short period of time from 1959 to 1962. Delicates is a Swedish word meaning "feast" or "delicacy". Many sugar pots are seen in the same series, but it is a relatively rare cutting board.

About Karin Vorquist

Karin Bjorquist (1927-2018)

Born in the city of Saffle in Varmland county in western Sweden. Studied at Konstfack, Stockholm's art school, joined Gustavsberg in 1950 after graduation, where he remained until 1986. Her well-known designs include the Svart Ruter series with diamond-shaped marks everywhere, the deep green Vardag, and the Nobelservisen designed to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the Nobel Prize.
