Vintage plate from Kastehelmi, Finland's classic glassware. Kastehelmi, which means "dew" or "drop" in Finnish, was designed in 1964 by Oiva Toikka, the king of glass artists. The characteristic of vintage is that the beads on the surface are plump and have a three-dimensional feel, and each grain is finely grained. It exudes beauty like a pearl.
The reprinted version has a small, flat ball with no depth to its beauty when exposed to light. The manufacturer was originally produced in Finland's oldest glass workshop called Nuutajärvi, and later became the same capital as ARABIA, and the current reprint version is manufactured under the Iittala umbrella.
