It is a cutting board of the series Shilpa of Finland's representative tableware manufacturer ARABIA. The heart-shaped decoration is really cute. The Shilpa series has two color variations, blue and orange, but this one is a more feminine orange color. Salt boxes from the Shilpa series are often seen in the vintage market, but this cutting board is relatively rare.
The pattern was designed by Laija Uosikkinen, one of the legendary designers of ARABIA, known for Emilia, Kalevala, and Ali. She specializes in deformed pointillism and geometric patterns, and her pattern designs are characteristic of Uosikkinen. In addition, the date of manufacture is engraved as a feature of ARABIA products in the 1960s. The 9-65 on the back indicates that it was manufactured in June 1965.
