This grey-rimmed plate features the legendary Crocus design from ARABIA, Finland's leading tableware manufacturer. There are three types of Crocus plates: black and white, color, and gray-rimmed. This is the especially rare gray-rimmed version. Crocus was a series that was only produced for two years, from 1978 to 1979. In recent years, reprints of mugs, bowls, and 17cm plates have been produced.
However, the reproductions are made in Thailand and have a sweeter shape, and the canisters, cups and saucers, and teapots seen in the original Crocus have not been reproduced. These items are very popular in the country, but they are rarely seen on the vintage market and are expensive. This 24cm size has not been reproduced and can only be obtained as a vintage item.
