A large pitcher from Rorstrand, a Swedish pottery manufacturer. The designer is Jackie Lind known for Ingrid. This is stoneware. Stoneware is made with an intermediate method between pottery and porcelain, and has the characteristics of both.

Pottery is porous and thick, and heavy pottery that sometimes exposes the soil underneath. Porcelain, on the other hand, is a thin, light, glossy vessel that is glazed over the entire surface and fired at high temperatures. Stoneware uses pottery materials and is fired at a temperature of 1200°C, the same as porcelain. The entire surface is glazed, and the thick wall makes it extremely durable.

Solid brown lines surround the stoneware to make it even more durable, giving it an atmosphere that can be used without hesitation for everyday use.

About Jackie Lind

Jackie Lind ( JACQUELINE "JACKIE" LYND 1948-)

Born in Ireland. At the age of 25, he moved to Sweden and started working as a designer at Rorstrand the following year. He often collaborates with Carl-Harry Stalhane, who was the art leader of Rorstrand in the 1960s. The Nordica series, inspired by angel wings, was the best hit among the two designs. Also known as Lind's work is the Japonica series, which is studded with cherry blossoms. One of the characteristics of Lind's work is that she draws flowers with one point in a simple design.
