Gustavsberg Prunus Vintage Eggcup

This is a vintage egg cup from the Prunus series from the famous Swedish kiln Gustavsberg. The egg cup of the Prunus series has been reprinted in a conical shape, but this product, which was made in the mid-20th century, which is called the mid-century period, had a cylindrical shape. The reprint version is made of porcelain, but this vintage version is made of ceramic and has a soft texture.
The series name, Prunus, means plum ("plum" in Japanese), and the plum with its blue fruit is depicted in a circle. The main difference between the vintage and reprint versions is that the vintage backstamp features a large plum. The back stamp of the reprint version is an anchor symbol. In addition, the vintage version's plum blue color is distinctive.
