Gustavsberg Myrten plate 18cm
Gustavsberg Myrten plate 18cm
It is a Swedish long-established Gustavsberg cake plate. What is the series name Myrten? It is a flower called myrtle of the genus of flowering plants of the Myrtaceae family. It was first classified by the Swedish botanist Linnaeus in 1753. It is a plant that is not very familiar in Japan, but in Sweden you can often see it as an indoor foliage plant. In ancient Greece, it was used as a wreath for brides, and was also used in a similar way to a laurel wreath.
