This is a vintage creamer from Bersa, a staple product of Gustavsberg, a long-established Swedish tableware manufacturer. It was designed in 1961 by Stig Lindberg, a master representative of the Swedish mid-century, and the leaf pattern of Bersa has since become synonymous with him. The mid-century period is also known as "Scandinavian modern," and is a time when a series of simple yet sophisticated designs were born one after another. As this series of designs was created during the mid-20th century, this golden age came to be called "mid-century."

The series name Bersa (Berså, Bessoh, Bersho) means a gazebo, a space set up for resting in a corner of a park, etc. In Northern Europe, where there are many winter days, this is a warm design that gives you a sense of lush greenery.
