It is a demitasse cup of the She-Fo series, which was produced for a long time from the beginning of the 20th century to the middle of the 20th century by Arabia, a representative ceramic maker in Finland. A demitasse cup is a small cup that serves espresso. The person who was in charge of the design was Greta Lisa Jadelholm Snellmann, a pioneer of Finnish female ceramic artists. After studying at the Aalto University of Arts in Helsinki, the capital, he spent two years training at a pottery studio in Paris, France. This is the reason why Snellman's works have an Art Deco atmosphere. Many works rich in decorativeness can be seen in Scandinavian design based on simple functional beauty. After working for ARABIA from 1921 to 1937, he returned to Paris for creative activities. Later, he also provided designs to Iittala, and is a wide-ranging artist who has designed not only ceramics but also glass products.

The She-fo was designed in 1926 and manufactured until 1969. The design is basically the same, but the era can be separated by the difference in the back stamp. This cup was manufactured in the late 1960s when production ended due to the so-called ARABIA crown logo.
