It is a vintage plate of Finnish royal road glassware pioni. The series name "Pioni" means "peony" or "peony" in Finnish. both It is a flower of the peony family Peonies and looks almost the same, but the picture on the plate is characterized by round petals. Since peony flowers have a jagged pattern on their petals , the Pioni series depicts not a peony, but a peony.

The designer is Oiva Toikka, the king of glass artists. First appeared in 1975. Pioni is characterized by its swaying edges, which are soft to the touch, and are lightweight and easy to handle even with large plates. The three-dimensional flowers are shaped in a way that protrudes from the back side of the plate. Therefore, the surface is glossy, and it is easy to use as tableware.

Pioni has three types of shakuyaku designs depending on the flowering state. There are three: buds, beginning to bloom, and full bloom. This is a depiction of the petals of a flower in full bloom.

The manufacturer was originally made in Finland's oldest glass workshop called Nuutajärvi. Nuutajärvi later became co-owned with ARABIA. I think this plate was made before the merger because you can see the unique refraction and fluctuation of old glass. Peoni is discontinued and is only available in vintage. The unique transparency of vintage is now unobtainable.
