Designer Winqvist is from Sortavala , Karelia on the Russian side . In order to express the matte texture of the soil of my home country, I used a unique method of using iron oxide to give it a brown color. It is said that Winqvist was responsible for the color matching herself at the manufacturing site, and she puts her heart into each and every color of Karelia that became popular in the blockbuster series.

Assistant to Aune Siimes for 5 years. After that, until 1974, he was enrolled in the design department of Arabia. The best-known works are the Karelia series and the Taika series, the latter of which is written by her husband Peter Winqvist (
