■Product Description This is a vintage tableware made by ARABIA, a tableware manufacturer representing Finland in Northern Europe. The series name "Karelia" is the name of the region that straddles the border between Finland and neighboring Russia. Historically divided into East and West, Finnish and Russian Karelia regions exist. Karelia has always been the stage of territorial disputes between Sweden and Russia since the 13th century, the territory of the Russian Empire in the 18th century, and partly Finnish territory after World War II in the 20th century. is.

Designer Winqvist is from Sortavala , Karelia on the Russian side . In order to express the matte texture of the soil of my home country, I used a unique method of using iron oxide to give it a brown color. It is said that Winqvist was responsible for the color matching herself at the manufacturing site, and she puts her heart into each and every color of Karelia that became popular in the blockbuster series.
