This is a series of figurines called Baghdad produced by the art department of Gustavsberg, Sweden's leading pottery manufacturer. Designer Bertil Wallin is known as the person responsible for shaping the glass works at Costa Boda.

A total of seven types of objects were created for this Baghdad series. This is my second design of a tall hut. It is a long, narrow two-story house with a chic and cute design, with a spire shaped like a flower pattern on the top. Although Valeen was a young man in his 20s at the time of his creation, his ability to abstract and precisely express the characteristics of the architecture of the Arabian world gives us a glimpse of his talent.

■Details Manufacturer: Gustavsberg Series: Bagdad Designer: Bertil Vallien Era: 1960s Country of manufacture: Sweden Condition: For some reason, there is peeling of the glaze on one corner of the spire, which looks like a chip. In Baghdad, the product was characterized by the fact that the glaze on the corners was thin and easily peeled off, and was difficult to stick to. The body itself is in excellent condition with no major damage. We offer this product at a great price as it is a product with a certain reason.

Gustavsberg is a long-established Swedish pottery manufacturer founded in 1825. For more information on the history of the company , please see this article♪ The company produced bathtubs and other housing equipment, but from the late 19th century onward, they focused on producing artistic ceramics, and their name became widely known. I did. Known for its simple and beautiful designs with motifs of nature and folklore, it is a manufacturer that led Scandinavian design in the 20th century.

It produced many outstanding artists such as Lisa Larsson and Stig Lindberg, and was a central figure in the ``Mid-Century'' art movement of the mid-20th century in Northern Europe. Even today, it is highly praised for its high artistry, technical ability, and unique design that evokes the Nordic climate.
