This ceramic plate was fired at a kiln called Tilgman in Gothenburg, southern Sweden. Tropical fish swimming up and down like an aquarium and shells are drawn at the bottom. The design is a person named Dagny Petrusson who was the central designer of the company. The fish and shell paintings are deeply recessed and poured with glaze. It is not a single color but a mottled glaze mixed with various pigments. Translucent glaze that expresses water droplets is scattered around the perimeter. The color is wonderful, and it will be a masterpiece of Tilguman porcelain plate.

Tilgmann Kiln was founded in 1948 by Paul Harald Tilgmann as a studio that mainly produced art pieces. In the 1950s and 1960s at its peak, more than 10 famous designers competed to present their works. Each designer had their own themes, such as fruits, plants, and animals, but all of them had in common that they drew pictures with glaze on vertically long porcelain plates. I can hear you. The Tilgman Kiln was closed in 1974 after the death of the founder, Tilgman. The lower right corner is engraved with dp, Petrson's initials.
