北欧の新緑をテーブルに リンドベリの代表作
This is a rare pepper bottle from the classic Berså series by Gustavsberg, a long-established Swedish tableware manufacturer. This is a vintage item that can only be found here.
The designer is Stig Lindberg, a leading Swedish mid-century master. Lindberg created this leaf pattern design in 1961. Berså is a word that is not used much in Swedish these days, but it means a gazebo, a space set aside for resting in a corner of a park.
It is no exaggeration to say that Scandinavia is a region where half the year is winter. Not only is it bitterly cold, but there are only about four or five hours of sunlight in winter. A distinctive feature of Scandinavian tableware is that it is full of designs that give a sense of warmth even on such winter days. The lush green of Belsa has a mysterious charm that brings the color of fresh greenery and a refreshing breeze to the dining table.
The reproduction version also has a lighter green color and more uniform leaf shape than the vintage version. The distinctive feature of the vintage version is the vivid green color and the subtle variations in each leaf. The backstamp is also beautiful and unique. The reproduction version has the company's anchor mark on the backstamp, and the original Bersa backstamp is no longer there.
