A highball glass manufactured in the late 1970s by Iittala, a long-established glass manufacturer in Finland. The series name Roxy is a female name used in Europe and the United States. It is the name of the wife of Alexander the Great in ancient Greece and is a Persian word meaning "dawn".
The Roxy series has multiple size variations, but this is the longest glass in the series. Designed for long drinks such as highballs. The bottom has a three-dimensional embossed leaf pattern and is designed to stick to your hand. This was manufactured in Finland in the latter half of the 1970s to serve as the seal after the renovation. The bottom of the glass is gently curved inward, making it a painstaking construction. As a feature of the manufacturing method, the glass has seams. This series is currently out of print and has not been reprinted as made in Southeast Asia, so it is only available in the vintage market.
