Nuutajärvi
Couldn't load pickup availability
A bird figurine by Oiva Toikka, the king of Finnish glass artists. This work is a reprint of the work produced as the 200th anniversary model of Nuutajärvi in 1994. It features a mottled pattern and is engraved with Toikka iittala's signature. Nuutajärvi later became the same capital as ARABIA, and the current reprint is under Iittala. This is a reprint that was produced in small quantities after the merger, and it is presumed that it was reprinted in 2013 with a limited edition of 300 bodies. In 2019, this work will be resold with a limit of 300 bodies. The limited edition has a plump body and a sharp beak. Reprints are rarer than originals because they are produced in fewer numbers.

Oiva Toikka ( 1931-2019)
One of Finland's great glass designers. His imaginative, tasteful and bold glass art distances himself from the mainstream of Scandinavian design. Toikka's artistic activities extend beyond glass to include stage production, fashion design, and plastic interior design. He has received numerous prestigious awards, including the Kai Frank Design Award and the Prince Eugene Medal, and was awarded the title of Honorary Professor of Art by Finland in 1993. The series ``Bird by Toikka'' designed for Iittala is a combination of Toikka's expertise in the properties of glass and the artist's imagination. The unique and colorful birds are all handmade by glass artisans and attract collectors from all over the world.
