■Product description
Marianne Westman's masterpiece Rorstrand Mon Amie vintage teacup. Mon amie means "lover/friend" in French. Currently, mugs with the same pattern are sold, but the original teacups are rare and have not been resold. Backstamped 1951-1973 Since there is no VDN mark, it was manufactured in Sweden between 1974 and 1987 when production ended. There is also a coffee cup in the same series, but this one is a slightly larger teacup size.

About Marianne Westman
Marianne Westman ( Marianne Westman, 1928-2017 )
Born in the Dalarna region in central Sweden, known for the Dalarna Horse. In 1950, at the age of 22, he joined Rorstrand as a designer, and until 1971, he created many designs. It is said that she was initially reluctant to work as a designer for a major pottery manufacturer. It seems that he really wanted to open his own pottery workshop in his hometown of Dalarna. However, her monami pattern quickly became a representative design of Swedish mid-century. Westman 's works are characterized by many bohemian designs that are conscious of plants and freehand drawings.
