Rorstrand Anemon Soup Plate
Rorstrand Anemon Soup Plate
This is a soup plate from the Anemon series by Rörstrand, a famous Swedish pottery company. It is a cute dish decorated with an anemone floral pattern. The Anemon series was only produced for a fairly short period, from 1965 to 1968. Considering the traditional background of the 1960s, when designs were pop and traditional wreath patterns were mainstream, the Anemon series was quite simple and unorthodox. After production was discontinued, it gradually became more popular, but to this day, the Anemon series has not been resold. Therefore, despite being a popular series, it can only be obtained on the vintage market.
Anemone has a weak brown glaze, so paint loss is likely to occur and cutlery marks are easily noticeable. Combined with the short production period, it is highly rare and those in good condition are gradually becoming less and less.
