The form was designed by Stig Lindberg, known as the standard bearer of the mid-century golden age of Nordic modernity. The mid-century era is a time when a unique Nordic identity has awakened, independent of the traditional pan-European pottery culture. By this time, manufacturing methods such as bone china had already been established, but this product dared to use faience firing.
Faience ware is a pottery made of red clay that is dried and then immersed in a white glaze called tin glaze. It is a method devised in ancient Egypt, and it is the oldest method of making pottery using glaze in the world.
On the back of the plate is a "G" hand sign indicating that it was made in Gustavsberg's G Studio. "21" is the number that specifies the form, F is the pattern design (type of painting), and on the far right is a star that is the hand sign of Giovanni Pugno, the painter who was in charge of painting. Due to its structure, faience is more fragile than general pottery and rarely remains intact. It is over 30 cm long, and the milky white glaze is moist and beautiful.

Born in Umeå, the central city of northern Sweden. Originally from Stockholm's art school Konstfack ( Learn painting at Konstfack. Twelve years later, in 1949, he succeeded Koge as the company's art director in charge of design.
