This is a cat figurine from the Catman's series, produced by Keramik Studion (K-Studion), a workshop founded by Lisa Larson in Gustavsberg.
This is a reproduction of a cat figurine by Lisa Larson from the 1970s, and is currently only produced in two sizes, mini and medium, but this maxi size is a rare model that is no longer in production.
Another highlight is the significant difference in the facial structure between the original model and the current model. While the current model has a flat face design, the original model is more realistic, and its large size of 30cm gives it a presence that is reminiscent of a real cat. When incorporated into your interior, it has an overwhelming presence that will catch your eye.
Catmens come in black and white, but this is a rare brown and white cat.
After leaving Gustavsberg in 1979, Lisa Larson was invited back to the company in 1993, where she resumed her creative work.
