This is a commemorative gift for Mother's Day manufactured in 1979 by Arabia, a leading Finnish ceramics manufacturer. A new design was announced every year for this series, like earplates. It seems that the production of the entire series ended after about five years. This is a cup made in 1979, depicting a single house on the plain and surrounding grasslands and mountains.

■ Gunvor Olin Gronqvist (1928-2005)
Born in Helsinki. Joined Arabia in 1951 and was in charge of design for a long time until 1993. Her representative designs include “Tea for Two”, which is inspired by autumn flowers, “Kosmos” series, which has abstract maroon vertical lines, “Fructus”, which depicts an apple cut in half, and sauna mug series. And even now, there are many fans. Apart from the mass production line, I am in charge of the art department called Ateljer GOG, and also supervise the production of one-off products.
