Akta Dalahemslojd Dalarna Horse 1960s

It is a Dalarna horse of Swedish folk crafts. It is a wooden statue, also known as Dalahest. A traditional handicraft from the Dalarna region in central Sweden, it refers to a wooden statue of a horse that is mainly painted in red. Originally a toy for children to be made by the fireplace in winter, it became a major craft product as a specialty of the Dalarna region.
