This large teacup is from the Anemone series by the renowned Swedish pottery company Rörstrand. Featuring a charming anemone floral design, this is a rare piece from a very short series produced between 1965 and 1968.
The 1960s was a pop design, and considering the traditional Scandinavian era when traditional wreath patterns were the norm, Anemone's simplicity made it seem unorthodox. After production was discontinued, it gradually gained popularity, but to this day, Anemone has never been resold. Therefore, despite being a popular series, this piece can only be found on the vintage market.
Anemone has a weak brown glaze, which means paint loss is likely to occur and cutlery marks are easily visible. Due to its short production period, it is rare and those in good condition are gradually becoming scarce. While there are also small coffee cups, this is a large-capacity teacup.
