This is a ceramic plate from the famous Swedish kiln Jii Gantofta. A large ceramic plate with a cute and deformed owl drawn on it. Some of Gantofta's works realistically depict wild birds in Europe, but those that refine the appearance of actual wild birds are relatively rare. Overall, the three-dimensional effect is outstanding, and you can feel that the production technology is high.
Most of the Gantofta porcelain plates are by Aimo Nietosvuori, but this one was designed by Egon Larsson. Larsson has made several types of deformed owl porcelain plates, and this is one of them. Compared to ordinary Gantt lid ceramic plates, the carving is deeper and the colors are more precise, and it has the atmosphere of a work of art rather than a wall hanging.
