This is a unique piece (one-of-a-kind) decorative plate created by Lisa Larson at Keramik Studion (K-Studion), an in-house workshop established at Gustavsberg in 1993. Lisa Larson left Gustavsberg in 1979 to work as a freelancer, but was welcomed back to the company with good benefits and an environment where she could concentrate on her own creative activities.

This work was produced in 1993, the year K Studio was launched. This film was created in the year Lisa Larson turned 62, when she was reaching maturity and at the peak of her worldwide fame.

The blue flowers depicted on the surface are forget-me-nots, but I think they are also depicting blue flowers that also include anemone and nemophila. It is composed of three simple colors: white, blue, and yellow, but by freely using different shades of glaze, you can give the scene a sense of transparency and depth.

Lisa Larson's works in the 1990s were different from the mid-century era of the mid-20th century, when she explored new Nordic pottery that took advantage of the rise in pottery technology. Many of Lisa Larson's previous works had relatively dark tones, but this work is an especially wonderful masterpiece with its unprecedented vivid colors. This is a masterpiece created by Lisa Larson, who was already a world-renowned artist, at a technically high level.

Lisa Larson's signature, ``Lisa Larson -93 Keramik Studion Gustavsberg,'' along with her name, year, and studio name, are engraved on the raised part of the back.
