This is a reprint and parallel import product of Gustavsberg's standard product Eva, a long-established Swedish tableware manufacturer. It will be a tea cup size that is one size larger than a coffee cup. Designed by Swedish mid-century master Stig Lindberg, it has been resold in the 21st century. The mid-century period is also called "Nordic modern", and it was an era in which simple and sophisticated designs were born one after another. Since the period during which a series of designs were created was concentrated in the middle of the 20th century, the era of the golden age came to be called "mid-century".
Eva, the name of the series, is the first female human to appear in the Old Testament, and is designed to be paired with Adam in the same series. Adam's dot is a circle with a crushed blue ●, but Eva's dot is a circled dot ◯, and it is designed so that Adam's dot fits in the gap. Eve is said to have been created from Adam's rib, and the design makes it possible to feel the presence of each other as pairs to fill in the missing elements.
