This ceramic plate was fired at a kiln called Tilgman in Gothenburg, southern Sweden. Designed by Aber Lang. An avant-garde ceramic board with an abstract blue floral pattern. Tilgmann Kiln was founded in 1948 by Paul Harald Tilgmann as a studio that mainly produced art pieces. In the 1950s and 1960s at its peak, more than 10 famous designers competed to present their works. Each designer had their own themes, such as fruits, plants, and animals, but all of them had in common that they drew pictures with glaze on vertically long porcelain plates. I can hear you. The Tilgman Kiln was closed in 1974 after the death of the founder, Tilgman. Lang's initials, EL, is engraved on the lower right.
