Career While still a student, he entered a Scandinavian art competition, where his talent was discovered by judge Stig Lindberg . In 1954, he joined the Gustavsberg Pottery. He remained there for 26 years until he became independent in 1980, and continued to work as a freelancer.

Lisa Larson's career began when she joined the Gustavsberg Pottery in 1954. Her talent was discovered by Stig Lindberg, the art director at the time, and she was given the opportunity to exhibit her own work at a young age.

From then on, Lisa created many masterpieces over the course of approximately 26 years until she left Gustavsberg in 1980. Production in the workshop was supported by close collaboration with artisans, and each piece is filled with the warmth of handwork.

Stora Zoo (Big Zoo) Series

This series, released in the late 1950s, is the breakthrough that made Lisa Larson famous around the world. The deformed animals, including lions, bulldogs, and cats, are humorous yet somehow elegant. The lion "Afrika" series in particular is a highly sought-after collector's item.
